Role and Responsibilities

Stakhanov, one of the UK's leading podcast production companies, is looking for an energetic, talented and experienced Social Media Manager to join its growing team. They will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and monitoring Stakhanov's Social Media strategy in order to increase both brand awareness and listenership. The successful applicant will also be capable of working independently in a fast paced and self-starting environment to design and deliver still images, video and graphic assets to support our podcasts and reach our listeners and social media followers.

A brief summary of the role is as follows:

• The design and creation of engaging and impactful social media content for Stakhanov’s podcasts’ social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter)

• Leading digital content creation (videos, stills, audio) to be used in support of our podcasts

• The production of graphics, animations and videos to a range of social media specifications

• Support for the wider team across the business (including PR and Corporate Communications) by creating video and social media assets to amplify marketing campaigns

• The ability to manage multiple projects at any one time, from the original brief stage all the way through to asset delivery

• Collaboration with show producers to ensure social assets are in line with brand guidelines, brand identity and tone of voice

Must haves:

  • Three years’ experience in a design/creative role
  • An interest in podcasting
  • An interest and awareness of sports broadcasting
  • Camera operating experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software, primarily Audition, Premier, Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator
  • Ability to record professional audio with Lavalier and shotgun mics
  • Ability to light a scene for interviews
  • Competency with new and emerging cameras and tools, from DSLRs to cinema cameras, gimbals, steadicam etc
  • Ability to work on multiple projects from original concept through to completion within brand guidelines and using existing templates
  • Strong understanding of current social media technologies to make content for Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc.
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects
  • Good understanding of what encourages engagement on social media platforms
  • Knowledge of how to measure the success of posts and the differences between the relevant platforms
  • Attention to detail and good time-management
