Stak hits 300 million podcast downloads!

We're delighted to announce we've reached 300 million all-time podcast downloads across our releases!

Since we launched in 2018, we've released over 30 shows and have 12 full-time employees. In that time, we've always been about podcasts that champion independent voices and engage communities across everything from sports to science. We don't take ourselves seriously, but we take what we do very seriously.

Founded by Jon Teague (CEO), Luke Moore (COO) and Pete Donaldson (Creative Director), the Stak team have gone from the kitchen table to 300 million downloads. The trio found success before the company even existed, with the Football Ramble kicking things off way back in 2007. From one show, we've become a show business.

The Stak team won Silver for Best Network and Best Sports Podcast for Football Ramble Presents at the British Podcast Awards 2022. And this year, we earned a nod for Best Sports Documentary at the Sports Journalism Awards for its Inside The Qatar World Cup series.

We began this year with a string of new releases. In February, we launched the chart-topping P1 with Matt and Tommy. The audio pit stop for all things Formula 1 went to #1 in the Spotify Top Charts, plus #3 in Apple’s Top Shows and #1 in Apple’s Sports Charts.

Since then, we've welcomed TikTok sensations Lewys Ball and Isla Loba for a second series of Pop Off, before White Wine Question Time with the lovely Kate Thornton joined us in April. We can't wait to tell you about all the exciting releases we've got coming up the rest of the year!

Luke Moore, Stak’s COO said: “We’re exceptionally proud to have hit the milestone of 300 million downloads. As a completely independent, self-funded business it’s a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the quality of the team we have here at Stak, the amazing broadcasters we work with every day, and of course, our wonderful listeners who download our shows so loyally."

Here's to the next 300 million!
